Tackling Hunger Together

At Saline Area Social Service, we are so grateful to First Presbyterian Church of Saline, Saline Main Street, and our community for coming together to tackle hunger head-on through the recent Souper Bowl of Caring food drive! The drive collected over 850 pounds of food for the SASS pantry. This generous outpouring of support will make a significant difference in the lives of the 300 neighbors we serve each month.

First Presbyterian & Saline Main Street

A huge thank you to First Presbyterian Church of Saline and Saline Main Street for their outstanding leadership and the local businesses that served as collection points for the drive: McPherson Local, Fine Print Bookshop, Whitepine Studios, and Carrigan Cafe. Additionally, we want to express our appreciation to the volunteers who dedicated their time and effort to sort and date the donated food. Your hard work behind the scenes ensured that the items collected were ready to be distributed to those who need them most. Your generosity and support demonstrate the strong spirit of community that exists in Saline.

Benefit Concert

A highlight of the Souper Bowl of Caring campaign was the family-friendly benefit concert held at First Presbyterian Church on February 4th. Featuring performances by Gemini and Fiddle Pie, the event brought together members of the community for a fun-filled evening while raising awareness and support for those in need.

Thank You!

Last but certainly not least, thank you to every community member who contributed to the Souper Bowl of Caring food drive. Whether you donated food, attended the benefit concert, volunteered your time, or simply helped spread the word, your support made a meaningful impact and helped us move one step closer to ending hunger in our community. Let’s continue to work together to support one another and create a brighter, more nourished future for all!
