A Night to Remember: Saline Area Social Service’s 1920s Fall Ball Raises Funds and Spirits
The glitz and glamour of the Roaring Twenties came to life at Saline Area Social Service’s annual Fall Ball, where guests stepped back in time for an unforgettable evening of music, dancing, and community generosity. This year’s 1920s-themed celebration was not only a tremendous amount of fun but also a remarkable success, with attendance increasing by an incredible 50% over the previous year!
Guests embraced the theme, enjoying a lively atmosphere filled with vintage-inspired style, fantastic entertainment, and plenty of opportunities to hit the dance floor. The evening’s entertainment was made even more special by The Paul Keller Orchestra, whose outstanding music kept the energy high and the dance floor moving. Guests also had the opportunity to learn some new moves thanks to dancing lessons provided by Louis Johnson, helping everyone feel ready to dance the night away.
While the evening was full of laughter, music, and celebration, the true purpose of the Fall Ball went far beyond the festivities. As Saline Area Social Service’s annual fundraiser, the event raises critical funds to support local individuals and families facing difficult circumstances.
Proceeds help make a meaningful difference throughout our community by supporting food assistance for individuals and families in need, tutoring and homework help for elementary students, coaching services, the Ignite program for middle schoolers experiencing anxiety, and aid for homelessness. These services provide essential resources, guidance, and support to neighbors who need a helping hand.
The incredible increase in attendance reflects the generosity and community spirit that make Saline such a special place to live. Every ticket purchased, every contribution made, and every person who came out to celebrate helped advance the mission of Saline Area Social Service.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended, sponsored, donated, volunteered, and helped make this year’s Fall Ball such a success. A special thank-you goes to The Paul Keller Orchestra, Sheryl Pomerance and her friends, and Louis Johnson for helping create an evening that guests will remember long after the music ended.
We’re especially grateful to the Whitener Family Giving Fund for being our Presenting Sponsor and to the Corcorans for sponsoring the band. This event couldn’t have happened without your generosity!
Together, we proved that doing good can be a lot of fun! Thank you for helping Saline Area Social Service continue to provide vital resources and support to our neighbors. We look forward to building on this momentum and making an even greater impact in the year ahead.
