SASS is so grateful to have received a $5,000 grant from Food Gatherers and Feeding America to support us in fighting local hunger caused by the economic impact of COVID-19. Additionally, SASS is one of 170 non-profit partners that receives a wide supply of food from Food Gatherers every week.
Each Monday, the Food Gatherers truck comes with a delivery including fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, eggs, milk, and other protein items. Last year, Food Gatherers supplied SASS with 58,539 pounds of food, which is the equivalent to almost 49,000 meals!
