Food Pantry Applications

If the government shutdown or reductions in public benefits are making it harder to meet your family’s needs, Saline Area Social Service (SASS) is here to help.

Eligibility Requirements

Households that live within the Saline Area Schools District or have a child enrolled in Saline Area Schools qualify for full shopping and may also qualify for additional client services. This includes food, household items, and emergency aid. For those who do not meet these criteria, to-go food bags are available to ensure anyone can receive support.

To learn more about eligibility and how to apply, visit our Eligibility & Registration webpage or call 734-429-4570 during office hours.

More than Just a Food Pantry

We provide groceries to anyone in need, and offer programs that support students and seniors, emergency assistance for rent, utilities, and car repairs, and referrals to additional aid organizations. See our full list of client services.

Community Resources

For those living outside of our location requirements, our Community Resources webpage can help you find the nearest food bank and links to other agencies in the Washtenaw area for assistance with Healthcare Coverage, Housing, Crisis Lifeline, or State Emergency Relief (SER).

Donations and Volunteering

If you are looking for ways to be more active in your community, our variety of programs and opportunities depend on your generous giving of time and financial support. Learn how you, your family, or your large group can make a difference with us by visiting our Volunteer Info webpage. Your kindness allows us to reach more people, and we thank you for your assistance!
