Dear Neighbor, 

I am honored to once again serve as the Executive Director for Saline Area Social Service. SASS has grown over the last few years in ways I couldn’t have predicted.  

Thanks to your generosity, we were able to provide food for over 118,000 meals and help over 500 of our neighbors last year. I continue to be amazed by the caring and kind people in Saline. 

The Saline community has also changed. Our senior population has grown and, after the last few years, more of our neighbors are stretching their budgets to the max. 

Over half of the people served by SASS are children or senior citizens. Everyone who comes through our doors for help has gone through desperate times. 

“I am always greeted with a smile and never made to feel uncomfortable, it’s like shopping at a regular store. I am a single mother with young children and the help I received during my daughter’s cancer treatments was a life saver.”
