On Friday, August 9, 2024, Paul Hynek from Saline Summerfest will be onboard a SAS school bus alongside a handful Miss Saline and a handful of committed students to collect school supplies. Throughout the day, the bus will make many stops – weaving in and out of our Saline neighborhoods and community centers. Items requested by Saline Area Social Service have been pre-assigned and collected throughout the summer.
Local business drop-off locations:
Steadfast Chiropractic, Baker’s Nook, Carrigan Cafe, GNC, Saline Area Senior Center, Saline Rec Center, Nu2U Again, Trinity Health Probility, Workout1 and UPS Store-Saline.
What to Donate:
Neighborhoods have been assigned specific items. The above local business drop-off locations are collecting:
- Highlighters
- Dry erase markers and erasers
- Sharpies
- Coloring markers
- Crayons
- Scissors of all sizes
- Pens, pencils, color pencils and pencil pouches
- Rulers
- Post-It notes
- Band-aids
- Index cards
- Composition notebooks
