Over 7,000 pounds donated!

Thank you to our letter carriers, volunteers, and everyone who donated food for making this year’s Stamp Out Hunger a tremendous success!

Stamp Out Hunger is a nationwide initiative organized annually by the National Association of Letter Carriers. Held on the second Saturday in May, the event encourages individuals across the country to donate non-perishable food items to support their local food banks.

In the Saline area, all donated food directly benefits Saline Area Social Service, and thanks to our community’s incredible generosity, over 7,000 pounds of food were collected this year to support local families in need.

Food insecurity continues to be a pressing issue in our community. Events like Stamp Out Hunger not only provide essential resources to those facing hardship, but also raise awareness about the everyday reality of hunger—something that can affect anyone, regardless of age, background, or income level.

Thank you, Saline, for showing up with compassion and care. Together, we are making a meaningful difference.

Thank you!

Thank you again to everyone who participated in this year’s event. Your kindness and generosity have made a real difference in the lives of families in our community. Together, we can continue to make a positive impact and work towards a future where no one has to go hungry.

A special thank you to Trader Joe’s for donating bottled water and Mancino’s Pizza and Grinders for donating lunch for the letter carriers.
