Saline Area Social Service (SASS) is committed to keeping our clients, volunteers and staff safe.

We are continuing to make sure that vulnerable residents living in the Saline Area School District are getting the food they need, and SASS will remain open during our normal business hours.

Over the last number of weeks, we have taken proactive steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19 so that we can continue providing food and helping those in need.

1. If a client, volunteer or staff member feels sick, we are asking them not to enter our facility. Saline Area Social Service will continue to provide food to those who need help, regardless of the external circumstances. We ask that those who are sick and need food to call us at 734-429-4570. We’ll then gather together a box of food and make arrangements for pick up.

2. We are asking that everyone who enters our facility to wash their hands regularly and use hand sanitizer as the first step upon entering our facility.

3. Cart handles, surfaces and door handles are wiped down with sanitizing wipes multiple times a day on a regular basis.

As we continue to monitor this situation, we will update the community if additional precautions are required. If you have any questions, please contact us at 734-429-4570.
